Compensation: Performance pay – potential $130,000 annual salary plus bonus and commission potential of $20,000/year
Position Summary
A Lead Residential/Light Commercial Installer at Precision Heating and Air is responsible for installing complete HVAC systems, including ductwork, tank or tankless water heaters, and IAQ systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Install complete HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and related components, following company guidelines and industry best practices.
2. Install tank or tankless water heaters, ensuring proper connections and functionality.
3. Install IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) systems, such as air purifiers, humidifiers, and ventilation systems, according to manufacturer instructions and customer requirements.
4. Collaborate with the Installation Manager and other team members to ensure efficient and timely completion of installation projects.
5. Ensure all installations meet code requirements and comply with safety regulations.
6. Complete necessary paperwork, including work orders, installation checklists, and equipment documentation.
7. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools, equipment, and materials are properly stored and accounted for.
8. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving installation-related issues, providing technical expertise and support when needed.
9. Communicate effectively with customers, addressing any concerns or questions during the installation process.
10. Maintain a professional and customer-focused attitude, representing the company positively in all interactions.
11. Adhere to safety protocols and company policies, promoting a culture of safety in all aspects of work.
12. Continuously update technical knowledge and skills by attending training sessions, workshops, and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
13. Assist in training and mentoring junior installers, providing guidance and support as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
1. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical or vocational training in HVAC installation is preferred.
2. Minimum of three years of experience as a lead installer in residential HVAC systems.
3. Clean DMV report with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
4. EPA certification for handling refrigerants is mandatory.
5. Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation procedures, ductwork, and related components.
6. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and installation instructions.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
8. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
9. Proficient in using hand and power tools commonly used in HVAC installations.
10. Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
11. Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
12. Ability to work independently and in a team environment, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
